Safari Baby Boy Card

Out of all of the cards that I make, baby cards are my absolute favourite! There is something about the ginghams, polka dots and the cutesy prints matched with the even cuter baby images that get me every time! I am always making baby cards and the weird thing is, sympathy cards are my next favourite cards to make. Sounds weird right? But it's not...really. I just love that I take the time to make a special sympathy card and I know it will be sent to a family who just lost a special person. As a card maker, the best way to send one of my cards is to someone who needs it most......who needs it more than someone who just lost their beloved family member?

I made this card with my cricut explore in design space. The animals were cut from Modern Baby Animals cartridge. I also punched out some stars and hearts to jazz it up a bit and added some cute googly eyes.  The baby boy stamps are from Papertrey Ink.

Whaley great friend

I have been enjoying playing with my Cricut Explore since I bought it on Boxing Day. I haven't had as much time as I like but I have made several cards and tags with the images I cut with it. The whale was cut in a navy print paper  and the image can be found on the Everyday Pop Up Cards cartridge (or online in design space if you have a membership). I added some shading with some navy ink and added a googly eye for cuteness! I printed the text with my computer and cut out a little strip to adhere to my card. I added a decorative edge to the strip with my Fiskars mini pinking scissors. I cut out two mini hearts in red (impression obsession die) and stamped a swirly image (Boxes, Bags and Tags stamp set, Papertrey Ink) which is to mimic water spray. I tied some red and white baker's twine and added the main panel to the card with foam tape. The background paper is from my scrap papers drawer which is completely full and my mission is to use up some of the papers in there. I believe the paper is Momenta.
